Rep. Benefield welcomes Youth Leadership Jeffco |

Representative Debbie Benefield hosted 32 members of the Youth Leadership Jefferson County class of 2007 at the State Capitol on Wednesday, March 7.
 Prior to introducing the group at the House floor session, Rep. Benefield joined several fellow Jeffco legislators in briefing the students on the legislative process. She also stressed the importance of youth input and involvement in policy making at all levels of government.
YLJC is an innovative program sponsored by the West Chamber Serving Jefferson County Foundation to develop the community leadership potential of Jeffco high school students. Each full-day monthly session focuses on one aspect of the community and emphasizes a key leadership concept, including business, health, human services, public safety, justice, arts and media, education and government.
